Samsung Syncmaster P2770hd Monitor Driver: Full Version Software
Hello, today I started my computer and out of nowhere the resolution was set to 600.800 and there where black bars around the screen. The resolution problem was easily fixed, but I can't remove the bars. When I open the Samsung screen menu the whole monitor is filled, but if there is anything coming out of my PC there are the bars (approximately 3cm thick).
Currently my PC shows 1080.1920 scaled down to the smaller part of the monitor. This came out of nowhere and I have no idea what could have caused this. I also updated my drivers, but it didn't change anything. I use an Asus Nvidia GTX670, an Intel I5 2400 and Windows 7. My monitor is the Samsung SyncMaster P2770HD and I coulnd't find any opitons to auto-scale it. Thank you for your help, guys. It depends on a combination of things.If the NVIDIA drivers (which u should get from or are not installed (like on a fresh OS install for example) it may give black bars when not run in native res, due to the lack of drivers and their control.But once the drivers are installed, u shouldn't get black bars anymore.
Unless u have Scaling set to 'Aspect Ratio' and then u apply a res that is not the aspect ratio of your screen. But this is one way to run a res and then have it apply the correct aspect ratio. While you can get black bars this way, at least the res won't be stretched. If you want to avoid any black bar scenarios and want the res to fit the entire screen, regardless of the applied res, then in Scaling, select Full-Screen.Do not select the 'Over-ride' box though, as this can have odd effects for those games where u can actually select the screen's aspect ratio in-game. Is it possible that this is a hardware issue and that using my warranty to get a new card would help? Like i said i.This Has Happened To Me The Reinstall was the only way i fixed it.as for if the card is truly defective you will eather have to try it in another computer or reinstall windows if it still does not work with one of the options then it is broke and you should seek a RMA if possibleIt Does seem that all the other options have failed you.
