Virtua Tennis 4 cannot start (Steam purchase) as the game cannot link to the Games for Windows live service. As it turns out Batman Arkham Asylum cannot access the service, too. So the problem seems to be related to the service.

Uninstalling and trying toreinstall the service pops up a known compatibility issue window for it, online help (via button) is currently not available.Without the service Virtua Tennis won't even start.On my sons computer (Win8 RC) the service works properly (with Batman), so it might be a problem with my computer configuration (PC connected to DC, games started via local account). I know that some games have issues when trying to run them from a DC-user(maybe because of the redirected folders), but then the local user was the way to go. Not so this time. This application will now close'Uninstalling the 'Microsoft Games for Windows - LIVE Redistributable' and 'Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace' and reinstalling them fromdid the trick.SOLVEDBtw,first couple of times I uninstalled it and used the setup provided with the game (compatibility issue window), later I ran the setup from the web site. Setup found the client already installed (but did not check the version?) and skipped the step.
