I'm getting close to finishing my Patapon 1 game (as close to a 'perfect' save file as I can get, I still need some more ancient and giant weapons) so I can start a Patapon 2 game with as much carry-over as possible.I remember from my last P2 playthrough (like six years ago) that ka-ching and materials carry over, as do rarepons you've unlocked. But while I know that you can find some of your old weapons in P2, can someone tell me (or, better yet, recommend me a guide) that says exactly what equipment carries over?I know that not all of it does (Divine equipment most certainly does not), but what does?

I remember the last time I played P2, I feel like all I ever found was lower-tier weapons (like flame spears and such). Is it worth trying to get all of the Ancient weapons before finishing P1? What about Giant equipment?

And can someone remind me exactly how you unlock them in P2? I remember it being incredibly random (like, each time you play the first level, you might get a random piece of equipment)- so if I have all of the equipment on my P1 save, am I guaranteed to be able to eventually get it all in P2?Unfortunately I've found very few guides about this, and none seem to be very in-depth or specific (simply saying things like 'you'll get some of your equipment' without specifying which ones or how) and even the Wiki is very incomplete (it doesn't even have all of the P1 equipment on the P1 equipment page, for crying out loud).Any help would be appreciated!. Just an update- I've started P2 (after what I consider to be pretty darn close to a 'perfect game' of P1) and so far I've only gotten four pieces of equipment from the first game, and they've all been green weapons (that is, weapons whose icons are represented as green images on the Altar inventory screen)- so far I've gotten two scorching spears and two deflecting halberds. I don't ever recall getting anything higher- or lower-tier than that (I don't recall ever getting any ancient or giant weapons, for example) and I have no confirmation that getting such an item is even possible.I'm also curious as to whether it's actually giving me items I had, or just items I had access to. What I mean is, let's say I only ever got one Scorching Spear on my P1 save file.

If I get one on the first stage of P2, will the game stop giving me Scorching Spears (since I only had one) or will it keep giving them because that's one of the items that they give out? I guess what I'm asking is, will there ever be a time when they run out of P1 items to give you?. The only thing I got was the leftover materials i had (some of them i had like 100+ of so thats cool) but I kinda feel like I shouldn't have done it, now it doesn't feel like I'm building 'my' army but just taking a bunch of resources and putting together stuff I haven't really farmed for. It makes the game quicker but it isn't something I enjoy playing as much. But I mean it's ok, the only thing I got was all the materials (don't think I got anything else, so dont build a perfect army, just farm a bunch of rare materials as well as do the gon chapon or w/e the minigames are to get the extra materials)Ask me if you need more information, I kinda like patapon 2 a little bit but it's very much more of the same (the don dondon dondon is still the same etc) but it's coolEDIT: also I hope I'm not too late, seeing your post is 6 days old:).

To be fair, carrying over your materials did very little, if anything, to upset the game- in fact, I feel like none of the carry-over from Patapon 1 made much of an impact. On this playthrough I'm about 75% of the way through the story, and I have yet to dip below the amount of Ka-ching I carried over (so that hasn't made any difference), and the materials and rarepons do very, very little to help. What I mean is this- you may have all of your materials from P1, but there isn't much you can do with just those. You can create your first Patapons, and maybe get a few rarepons to level 1, but creating and leveling units takes so many different materials that didn't even exist in the first game (like fangs, bones, hides, and juices), as well as a ridiculous quantity of materials in general, that even if you have 99 of everything, there isn't much you'll be able to do without having to farm the other items in mass quantity. (At best, you'll cut down on your necessary farming time by half. And that's only until you go through the 99 you brought over- if you're trying to level every unit to level 10 in every rarepon, expect to need ten times that, or more.)And those rarepons you brought over? Good luck getting any use out of them. Let's say you thought you were clever by making all of your units Barsalas or Mogyoons before copying your save file over.

Sweet, you can go straight to those Rarepons without having to go through the evolution tree! Except those require level 5 items, which you don't have. And you won't have for a long time, especially if you need anything other than metal.

And even if Dodonga manages to drop an Adamantine right off the bat? (I don't even know if that's possible) Good job! You now have a level 1 Mogyoon or level 1 Barsala. Isn't very good, actually.

Not much better than a level 1 anything else. In order to get to the point where it's really going to make a difference, you'll need enough materials to get it to level 5, or better yet, level 10 (which will require about 30 of each material, if memory serves, for each unit you wish to level that high). As for getting equipment from your P1 save, you get those (very rarely, it seems, one at a time, randomly) from playing the first hunting stage. I've played that stage probably twenty times so far and gotten four or five pieces of equipment- nothing above the tiers I mentioned in my earlier post. So far, no giant equipment, no ancient equipment, and so on.

Nothing unique (in other words, nothing I care about).

To summon Miracles hit DON, DON DON, DON DON. This is a really basic tip, but it will save you some headaches: save before you do a mission or minigame and if you mess up, go back to the title screen and load your save.Minigames Unlock the following minigames by performing the actions below:Save File Bonus Item Note: You'll need an (original) Patapon save file and some stuff in your inventory before attempting this.
