Dbase V For Dos
Hey all, I have been bashing my head against the wall for a while on this issue but have had no luck. My company runs an old version of GoldMine for record keeping and when we upgraded to windows 10, everything worked fine, at least for a while. One day my PC was asking for a restart for an update and since then the application won't run on my windows 10 PC anymore. I checked my OBDC and found the windows dBase configured and NTVDM is installed (even tried uninstalling / reinstalling several times) but cannot get the program to run. The program itself is just a shortcut to the program and data on a server and all other clients are working in the program without issue. The only error I get is that the LDAPI32.dll is missing.
I tried registering the dll but it kept erroring out. I then searched for the file on my PC as it should be located in and found it doesn't exist. SFC scans show no integrity violations and I cannot find a mention from Microsoft on Technet about this file which is apparently native to windows. All searches done to figure out how to recreate the dll ends in 'Download LDAPI32.dll here' sites, non of which are MS based. I am definitely not going to download the file from a 3rd party and would like to avoid a complete rebuild of the OS to resolve it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It seems when you do it is identified on numerous sites as a malware object designed to provide a backdoor into your system. I would proceed carefully. It seems when you do it is identified on numerous sites as a malware object designed to provide a backdoor into your system. I would proceed carefully. Here is the exact error I am getting. Most of research says there are database issues / corruption but I find that hard to believe when 5 other PCs in my office can run the program without issue.

And I know it looks like IDAPI instead of LDAPI and I have tried looking up both. I had received another error at one point that led me to believe it is LDAPI but like I said, I researched both without much inthe way of results. Also I scan regularly as well as do very minimal web surfing and have had no other problems with the PC.
